Amlin Challenge Cup Fixtures Announced
Connacht have been drawn in Pool 1 of the Amlin Challenge Cup and will open their campaign with a trip to Italian newcomers Cavalieri Prato on Saturday, October 9.
The fixtures, dates, kick-off times and host broadcasters for the first four rounds of the Amlin Challenge were today (July 26) announced by tournament organisers ERC with additional broadcast details to be announced at a later date.
The Sale Sharks, the 2002 and 2005 winners are joined by Harlequins, the 2001 and 2004 champions, in bidding to make it three titles with the London club travelling to Bayonne for their opening clash on Sunday, October 10.
Connacht have been drawn in Pool 1 alongside Harlequins, Bayonne and newcomers Cavalieri Prato from Italy. Connacht will open their campaign with a trip to Italy on October 9. Eric Elwood’s charges then host Bayonne a week later at the Sportsground.
The competition resumes in December when Connacht will face Harlequins in back to back fixtures – travelling to The Stoop on Sunday, December 12 before the return leg a few days later on Friday, December 16.
