Ireland Trio Return For Munster

Ireland Trio Return For Munster

Donncha O’Callaghan, Ronan O’Gara and Tony Buckley, who all played for Ireland against Scotland last weekend, have been included in the Munster squad for their Magners League encounter with Glasgow Warriors at Thomond Park on Friday (kick-off 8pm).

Lock Donncha O’Callaghan rested up as he sat out Monday’s training stint for the Munster squad at the University of Limerick, watching on from the sidelines as his provincial colleagues were put through their paces in a fairly rigorous double session.

Ronan O’Gara and Tony Buckley were there also, but unlike O’Callaghan, they took a full part in training. With the international trio back on board, Munster will look to continue their impressive home form in the Magners League this weekend.

Flanker Billy Holland, who has impressed in red in recent weeks, sat out the session having twisted a knee in the game against Scarlets last Thursday.

Holland will have a scan later this week in Cork and is hopeful that the injury is not too serious.

Meanwhile, the news on scrum half Duncan Williams (ankle) is also good in that he sustained bruising and no break when being forced off in the closing stages of the 23-17 win over the Scarlets.
