Ulster Ravens Squad Named For Bedford Clash

Ulster Ravens coach Neil Doak has named a 25-man squad ahead of the province’s opening British & Irish Cup clash with the Bedford Blues at Ravenhill on Friday (kick-off 7.30pm).

Neil Doak’s selected squad boasts a blend of youth and experience, with the Ulster Ravens looking to mount a serious challenge in this new cross border competition

Recent Ireland ‘A’ debutants Andy Kyriacou and Dan Tuohy have been included in the Ravens panel, along with fit-again flanker David Pollock and hooker Nigel Brady, who was a try scorer for Dungannon at the weekend.

The British & Irish Cup involves 24 teams drawn from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales and divided into four pools of six.

Alongside Bedford, the Ulster Ravens will also face Moseley (away), London Welsh (home), Aberavon (home) and Llanelli (away) in their pool during the months of November, February and March, aiming to secure top spot and progress to the semi-final stage in April.
