Connacht Name Squad For Dax Clash

Connacht coach Michael Bradley has named his squad for Friday night’s European Challenge Cup Pool 1 clash with Dax at the Sportsground (kick-off 6.30pm).

Connacht have no new injury worries ahead of this crucial meeting with French outfit Dax. John Muldoon returns to the squad and will captain the team which will be announced on Thuesday.

Coach Michael Bradley said they were confident that they would secure a place in the quarter-finals of the European Challenge Cup.

“We know exactly what has to be done to secure the place in the quarter-finals and we are looking forward to going out and hopefully achieving that target,” he said.

“The victories earlier in the pool have put us in a good position whereby we just need to win our final home match at home to secure a quarter-final place.

“That is a good position to be in but there is a job to be done on Friday and the players are looking forward to carrying out that task.”
