Speaking after Munster’s 25-19 Heineken Cup Pool 1 defeat at Clermont Auvergne, team captain Paul O’Connell said: “We conceded momentum too many times in that first 10 or 15 minutes of the second half. We were in with a great chance of winning after the first half, but the start of the second half turned it in Clermont’s favour.”

Munster coach Tony McGahan looks back on his side’s 25-19 Heineken Cup Pool 1 defeat to Clermont Auvergne at Stade Marcel Michelin. He said: “It’s a very difficult place to come, we were looking for the four points but one point is better than zero. The beginning of the second half was well below our standards.”
