Bradley Enthused By Connacht’s Second Half Showing

Connacht coach Michael Bradley says that the clinical display by his team in the second half of their 30-12 win in Dax is the minimum that they will require when they take on London Irish next Friday in their second European Challenge Cup game.

Michael Bradley said that Connacht’s Pool 1 victory in France has given them a good platform to build on in their efforts to reach the knock-out stages of the European Challenge Cup.

But he said that London Irish would present a much tougher challenge at the Sportsground on Friday.

“The fact that the game against Leinster took place on Sunday night gave us little time to turn around so that presented a logistics challenge in itself,” he said.

“There was little time to prepare as we had to leave for France on Wednesday morning.

“We were slow to start on Friday night but that was a much better performance in the second half.

“I suppose, in the circumstances, it was understandable that it would take us time to get into the flow, but once we built the phases there was a good cutting edge and the chances started to appear and were taken.”

Meanwhile, Connacht fans have been encouraged to purchase their tickets as early as possible for Friday’s game against London Irish at the Sportsground (kick-off 7pm).

With the ‘full house’ signs already gone up for the Enclosed Stand and the game expected to be a sell-out, supporters have been urged to avoid disappointment.

The first ever competitive fixtures between Connacht and London Irish should go a long way towards deciding the pecking order in Pool 1.

A number of hospitality packages are still available for this historic encounter.

Supporters are reminded that the game is all-ticket.

Tickets are available on Ticketmaster or in person at the Connacht Rugby offices at the Sportsground on College Road during office hours (9am to 5pm each day).
