Munster are in Boston to defend the Setanta Sports Challenge Cup against the USA. Munster won the inaugural challenge in Chicago last year.
The Munster squad were treated to a reception in their honour and hosted a Question & Answer session at the Boston College Club yesterday as part of the build up to their Setanta Sports Challenge Cup match against the USA on Saturday.
Munster will be defending the trophy which they won last year in Chicago.
Tony McGahan, Munster Head Coach spoke about the importance of the game as part of their pre-season training: “We are of course looking forward to this match. Last year’s trip proved very beneficial both in terms of the match itself and the subsequent season. While it’s a great honour to play against international oposition this game also represents the ideal type of preparation ahead of the new season.”
Munster have brought a near full strength squad with the exceptions of Denis Leamy, David Wallace, James Coughlan and Ciaran O’Boyle.
The Setanta Challenge Cup match will be broadcast live on ESPN Classic as well as on Setanta Sports. Tickets for this event are priced from $20 to $60 and will be available through www.ticketmaster.com/munster or by calling (860) 525-4500.
