Ulster Reveal Pre-Season Schedule

Ulster Reveal Pre-Season Schedule

Ulster Rugby will kick off the 2008/09 season with two home friendly fixtures against Guinness Premiership sides Bath and Worcester Warriors in August.

Ulster will host Bath on Friday, August 15 (kick-off 7.30pm), the side that finished third in the Guinness Premiership in May, as well as winning the European Challenge Cup, securing the club’s place in next season’s Heineken Cup.

With former Ulster captain Justin Harrison having recently moved to Bath, it will be interesting viewing to watch Harrison play against his former team-mates.

The Bath side boasts British & Irish Lions lock Danny Grewcock as well as England stars Lee Mears and Matt Stevens and not forgetting South African out-half Butch James.

On Wednesday, August 27 (kick-off 7.30pm), Mike Ruddock’s Worcester Warriors will pay their first visit to Ravenhill. The ambitious side, captained by English back rower Pat Sanderson, were beaten in the European Challenge Cup final by Bath and will be out to prove themselves against Ulster.

With Worcester’s new signing Australian Chris Latham due to arrive in July, the Ulster supporters could be in for some world class action at Ravenhill.

The Warriors will be accompanied to the province by the Kukri All- Starzz, a team of professional dancers who will be entertaining the crowd throughout the evening.

Tickets for both fixtures are competitively prices with adult ground tickets available for just £10 and Ulster’s 2008/09 Season Ticket holders will get first opportunity to purchase them with a special release available exclusively to them, from July 21 for one week only.

Season Ticket holders can purchase their tickets over the Ravenhill counter and on the Ravenhill ticket line (tel: 02890493222) between 9am and 5pm from Monday, July 21 to Friday, July 25.

Tickets will go on general sale from July 28 and will be available to all supporters over the phone, online on the Ulster Rugby website, at the counter and at SS Moores in Chichester Street, Belfast.
