A proud extension of the long-established sponsorship deal between Busker Brownes Bar and Galway Corinthians RFC has been announced. Read on for more…………….

Busker Brownes Bar of Cross Street, Galway, announces extension of its 11 year relationship with Corinthians by renewing its position as the proud and official chief sponsor of Corinthians Rugby Football Club. The sponsorship deal was launched in the Slatehouse Bar of Busker Brownes with the Corinthians senior squad, club members and supporters all in attendance.

Speaking at the launch of the 2007/2008 new kit launch, Busker Brownes Manager, David Keogh, proudly commented that “after ten years of continued support we are thrilled to be yet again supporting Corinthians RFC. We are privileged to be considered the “home of rugby” in Galway through our sponsorship not only of Corinthians, but also of the GMIT Rugby Programme; the Summer Tag Leagues & also as a contributor to the Connacht Rugby Players Fund. As official sponsors for Corinthians we are grateful to them for their continued patronage of Busker Brownes, especially since the launch of our Gastro Pub menu and our new private event venue “The Hall @ Busker Brownes”.

Donal White, President of Corinthians RFC, praised sponsors Busker Brownes for their very generous sponsorship of the club, and, for extending the finest tradition of Galway hospitality not only to the hundreds of members of Corinthians RFC over the years, but also to the many, many teams and their supporters from all over Ireland, who have made the journey to Galway to play or follow their team against Corinthians and then retreated to Busker Brownes for the famous post match hospitality & craic!

There were smiles all round the Slatehouse bar when David Keogh, Manager of Buskers but more importantly a player with local rivals Connemara RFC, was photographed accepting a Framed Corinthian jersey on behalf of Buskers.
