Ulster’s Caldwell Receives Three-Week Ban

Ulster’s Caldwell Receives Three-Week Ban

Ulster will be without the services of Ryan Caldwell until October 26 after the Ireland ‘A’ lock was handed a three-ban at an IRFU disciplinary hearing.

Today’s hearing in Dublin was called after Caldwell was red carded late on in Ulster’s 24-10 Magners League defeat to Edinburgh at Murrayfield last Friday night.

The 23-year-old was dismissed by match referee James Jones for an off-the-ball stamping incident at a ruck. His punishment means he will miss Ulster’s clash with the Dragons at Rodney Parade this Saturday, as well as the province’s trip to Llanelli on Friday week.
