The event will feature all the top Munster clubs including current AIB League champions and ODM Munster Senior Cup winners Garryowen, alongside Shannon, Cork Constitution and UL Bohemians.

Emphasising the importance of the competition, Ultan O’Callaghan, Munster Rugby’s Provincial Domestic Game Manager, said: “Sevens rugby is an area where we believe individual skills can be honed and developed. We feel this competition will be hugely beneficial to the clubs and to Munster Rugby.”

Frank Larkin, the immediate past President of Old Crescent, added: “Old Crescent is delighted to be hosting this new and exciting competition for Munster senior clubs. The club Sevens tournament will be a great start to the new season.”

The event is supporting ‘Heads Up’, a new text service from Rehab Care, which aims to help young adults in difficulty by offering support group information for a range of issues via text.
