Grand Slam Captain in Ulster Squad

Ulster include Ireland Under 20s Captain David Pollock in their squad as they prepare to meet Munster in a crunch Magners League game.

Mark McCall has today named a 23 man squad to take on Munster on Friday night at Ravenhill, Kick Off, 19.30. 

Ulster welcome back their international players who have been involved in Ireland’s Six Nations campaign, Rory Best who played in every one of Ireland’s games  returns to the Ulster fold as does his older brother Simon, also included in the squad are Irish backs Isaac Boss, Andrew Trimble and Paddy Wallace. Neil Best is not considered for selection due to injury.



David Pollock who captained the Ireland U20s side to an unprecedented Grand Slam and Six Nations Championship double is also included in the squad, it has been quite a year for David who captained both the Ireland U19 and U21 sides that participated in the respective Rugby World Championships last season and signed a development contract with Ulster in October having previously been in the Ulster Rugby Academy.

Ulster are currently second in the Magners League with 45 points, just one point behind Leinster. Munster stand eighth in the league with 32 points.


This all ticket match looks set to sell and with less than 500 terrace tickets left, supporters are urged to purchase their tickets as soon as possible.
