In the aftermath of Ireland's 36-20 bonus point win over Japan, four of their starters from the match in Newcastle have made the North Team of the Week - first-time captain Tadhg Beirne, Tom O'Toole, who crossed for his first international try, Jack Conan, and Jimmy O'Brien.
Whilst making back-to-back starts on the loosehead side, Ulster prop O'Toole is currently top of the Nations Championship's charts for tackle success rate with a 100% return from his 22 attempted tackles.
Back rower Conan is just behind him with 30 successful tackles for 96.8%. O'Toole, with a 7.6 rating from his performance against Japan, features in the Northern front row alongside Jamie George (England) and Dillon Lewis of Wales.
The North's chosen pairing in the engine room is all about mobility and breakdown subversion, with Beirne, who had a rating of 8, and England lock Alex Coles operating as extra loose forwards, smothering opposition ball.
Beirne has been Ireland's top lineout winner so far with nine takes, and will be particularly keen to finish the Southern Hemisphere Series on a high after receiving a red card against their next opponents, New Zealand, last November.
Conan, Ireland's top ball carrier with 28 after two rounds, in addition to two try assists, packs down at the base of the scrum in the North's Team of the Week.
The Bray man combines with Henry Pollock, England's hat-trick hero against Fiji, and Josh Bayliss, who impressed off the bench for Scotland in their defeat to South Africa.
The Northern back-line is marshalled by England's Fin Smith and French star Maxime Lucu, who kicked a dozen points against Australia. The half-back duo have ratings of 8.4 and 8.3, respectively.
Italian ace Tommaso Menoncello, the scorer of a brilliant early try against the All Blacks, and Scotland's Sione Tuipulotu join forces in midfield, with O'Brien part of a dangerous looking back-three.
The Eadestown native has played every minute of Ireland's Nations Championship campaign to date on the right wing, helping Andy Farrell's side to get the better of both Australia and Japan in New South Wales.
Retaining the number 14 jersey, O'Brien made two line breaks and 25 post-contact metres against the Brave Blossoms, beating three defenders, and also impressing under the high ball.
Completing the North's Team of the Week is French winger Aaron Grandidier Nkanang, who bagged a brace of tries in their victory over the Wallabies, with England's Marcus Smith at full-back.
Meanwhile, ahead of Ireland's much-anticipated clash with New Zealand at Eden Park this Saturday, five All Blacks feature in the South's Team of the Week for round 2.
Heading up that list is 8.5-rated winger Will Jordan, who ran in a hat-trick of tries in their 47-17 defeat of Italy to become the New Zealand Men's team's top try scorer of all-time with 50 in just 56 Tests.
