Clubs may now apply for part funding of facilities development through the IRFU Inclusive Facilities Grant Scheme up to a maximum grant of €100,000.

The scheme is live and applications are being accepted on an ongoing basis.

An IRFU Inclusive Facilities Upgrade Guide has been produced to assist clubs in the project management of works. There is also a guide for clubs on how to apply for the grant itself.

The IRFU are currently inviting expressions of interest in the scheme. The purpose is to:

• Allow clubs to register their interest in availing of funds through the scheme.
• Help clubs to understand how far along they might be in their planning process.
• To gather information for the IRFU on the number of clubs interested in making a grant application under the scheme and the likely timing of their project and grant drawdown.

EOI forms must be submitted in an official capacity by a club committee/executive.

The new round of applications for the Community Sports facilities fund (formerly Sports Capital Grants scheme) will go live soon and below are some of the key dates and information your club will need.

Monday 28^th September – SPRAOI goes live

Clubs who wish to apply for the next round of funding grants through the CSFF will need to ensure they are registered on the SPRAOI system. This replaces the OSCAR system and clubs which had already registered on that need take no action as it will be brought across onto the new system.

Applications open from 19^th October

Clubs can start to apply from this date and should rewatch the webinar for key insights on how to make a robust submission.

Closing date 26 February 2027

All submissions must be submitted in advance of this date

Funding Categories

There will be three categories of Funding available to clubs:

• Local projects - max grant of €250,000
• Larger projects - €250,000 to €550,000
• Large-scale / multisport projects up to €750,000
