Guidelines for Clubs
AEDs and Cardiac Screening
AEDs (automated external defibrillator or ‘defib’) are a vital piece of equipment that should be available in your club. It should be checked regularly to ensure it is working, in-date and easily accessible during any activities.
Prompt CPR and defibrillation are the most effective treatment if someone has a cardiac arrest, so the resources below will help make sure your club is able to act fast in these situations.

It is important that your AED is easily identifiable and accessible. Make sure to put your EIRCODE on/beside where your AED is stored to help someone direct ambulance services to your club.
Download and complete the template to signpost people to your AED. You should consider putting these in places like the dressing rooms, medical room, bar etc. This will help people who are not familiar with your club layout to find the AED quickly if needed
