GUINNESS PRO14 champions Leinster have confirmed that they will face Northampton Saints in pre-season action at Franklin’s Gardens on Thursday, September 12 (kick-off 7.30pm).

This will be the first of three meetings with Saints for Leo Cullen’s men as both teams have been drawn into Heineken Champions Cup Pool 1 along with Benetton Rugby and Lyon. Tickets for the pre-season game are available to buy here.

The last time Leinster faced Northampton was in the Champions Cup in back-to-back games in December 2016. This will be the first pre-season meeting between the sides since August 2014 when a Jimmy Gopperth-led Leinster fell to a 33-21 defeat at Franklin’s Gardens.

Earlier this week it was announced that the Leinster Men’s team will kick off their pre-season schedule on Saturday, August 17 against Coventry in a double header with the Leinster Women who begin their Interprovincial title defence against Connacht.
