Forwards Coach

Recognised as one of the best second rows in world rugby during his playing career, O’Connell captained Munster, Ireland and the British & Irish Lions.

Paul was part of the 2009 Grand Slam team and captained Ireland to the Six Nations title in 2015.

Having retired in 2015, he has worked with the Munster Academy as a mentor and coach before taking up a role as Assistant Coach with the Ireland U20s.

Paul was appointed to the Ireland coaching team in January 2020.
