Welcoming Clubs Toolkit

In line with the IRFU EDI Action Plan, we want as many people as possible to play and volunteer in the community. Welcoming clubs with diverse populations, that reflect their wider local community — where members feel safe and connected — will grow and retain membership, making rugby as relevant in 2050 as it is now.

Now that you have completed your welcoming clubs assessment and identified gaps and opportunities, you can discuss the findings with your committee and plan the way forward. The information below is designed to help you retain existing members and recruit new members across a variety of age-groups and communities, not just playing members but social members and volunteers.
