Students’ Rugby Video To Feature At Aviva Stadium

The Irish Rugby Football Union will feature a video produced by a group of students and graduates from Ballyfermot College of Further Education on the big screens at the Aviva Stadium this weekend.

The video will be shown on the big screens ahead of the Ireland Women’s team’s historic game against Italy, to thank the Ballyfermot College of Further Education students for their efforts to promote the girls in green’s first ever match at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday (kick-off 5pm).

The video, which urges people to #Bepartofit, was produced by Denise McKenna, Kevin Fox, Andrew Murray, Cian Moynihan and Jarlath Finnegan.

The video was published on Irish Rugby TV’s YouTube channel and across other IRFU social media platforms in recognition of the professionalism and talent shown by the film makers, who have set up their own production company from college, Atlantis Productions.

Stephen McNamara, IRFU Communications Director, said: “We were hugely impressed by the video produced by the highly talented group from Ballyfermot College and are delighted to add it to the pre-match entertainment which will play thoroughout the Aviva Stadium on matchday.

“We urge everyone to get behind the Irish Women’s team at the Aviva this weekend and thank Denise, Kevin, Andrew, Cian and Jarlath for all their efforts.

“This weekend will be a very special occasion at the Aviva and we are offering rugby fans the chance to see their picture on the big screens by simply placing their Irish rugby inspired pictures on Instagram using #IrishRugbyHearbeat.”
