The newly minted tournament kicks off on Sarturday and with the Rugby World Cup set to be hosted in Australia in 2027 Ireland are expecting the Wallabies to set out their stall at a sold out Sydney Football Stadium.
The match is live on Virgin Media, who have free-to-air coverage of every game in the Nations Championship.
Easterby oulined the threat from Joe Schmidt's side, "The ability to attack in a way that can create opportunities and those are the things that we’ve spoken about in a bit of detail today.
“We are expecting a side who have probably got a chance to go and lay down a bit of a marker leading into a World Cup year, playing at home for the first time in a while so it’s exciting for us to be here in the first game.”
The 42,000 capacity stadium is likely to see plenty of Irish support as happened on the 2018 tour and for the Lions at the same venue last year.
"We expect to see a lot of green in the stadium and it’ll be hopefully a good night for us. But, yeah, certainly in terms of an experience having been here last summer, the amount of Irish that were out with the Lions was phenomenal and I’m sure a lot of those will turn up again on the weekend.”
