This is the last opportunity to impress Scott Bemand and his fellow coaches before Ireland embark on a much-anticipated tour to South Africa, playing the Springbok Women on October 24 and 31.
Saturday's rematch with Japan (kick-off 2pm - live on IrishRugby+) will see Bemand's side play in Cork for the first time since their August 2025 victory over Scotland before the Rugby World Cup.

Looking forward to the fixture, scrum coach Denis Fogarty said: "It is making sure ultimately we're playing to win the game, but also identifying the areas that we needed to work on and get right going into this week.
"So, (getting the) balance right in terms of selection was key, but also in the mind of using this competition to start growing the depth within our squad, getting more caps into players.
"There is a focus on areas that we need to clean up - discipline, allowing teams access. That was a big area that we focused on going into this weekend."
He added: "I do think there may be two or three (new players) that might come in this weekend, to allow them to get on the pitch and express themselves, and those players have earned it.
"They have been knocking on the door for some time, and I think this is a really good opportunity to see them excel on an international stage."
