This will be the first time that Emily Lane has played senior Interprovincial rugby for her native Munster, as she was not available before due to her Sevens and 15s international commitments.
The star scrum-half has played alongside her new Munster team-mates in the colours of the Clovers and Ireland, but never before in the red jersey at senior level.
Meanwhile, Grace Moore will be another notable debutant for the defending Interprovincial champions having left Trailfinders Women this summer after a two-year stint.
Identified through the IQ Rugby programme, Moore has shown her prowess as a back rower - winning 28 Test caps - after initially been contracted as an Ireland Sevens player.
The 30-year-old former Railway Union and Saracens forward has been involved with the Wolfhounds in the Celtic Challenge, and could be a canny addition to the Munster ranks given number 8 Chloe Pearse's retirement.
Lane and Moore are part of a 30-player squad announced by Munster head coach Matt Brown, whose coaching group is also working with a panel of 18 development players.
Tipperary woman Maeve Óg O'Leary returns as captain and is understandably keen to rescale the heights of last year's Interprovincial campaign which saw her side win all four matches.
"It is unreal (to continue as captain), I am so delighted and honoured of course," she explained.
"I think last year we had such an unreal year, so I am delighted to be able to lead the girls again.
"But, to be honest, there are so many great leaders within the team and I think that that is the most important thing. There are so many people driving this squad forward, so it is an honour."
Jane Clohessy is set to make a welcome return from surgery on the re-broken arm that ruined her Six Nations hopes earlier this year, while Ireland Under-21 starlet Katie Corrigan has made the switch from Leinster to Munster.
Already an Ireland senior international, winger Corrigan, who turns 20 later this month, made her debut for Leinster during the 2025 Interpros, playing twice against Munster.
Elsewhere, Lily Byrne is one of several players who are stepping up at the senior grade for the province for the first time. The Dolphin centre has captained both her province and country at age-grade level.
Aoibheann McGrath, Ellie Cournane, Eve Prendergast, Gráinne Burke, and Shirley Bailey are all unfortunately unavailable at present due to injury.
Munster begin the Interprovincial Championship at home to Leinster at Virgin Media Park next Saturday (August 8), before welcoming Ulster to the Cork venue a week later. Tickets for those games are available to buy here.
Brown's charges will then travel to Galway to face Connacht in round 3, ahead of a return trip to Dexcom Stadium for the competition's finals day on Saturday, August 29.
