IRFU Officials Earn World Rugby Appointments for Busy November International Window

The IRFU would like to congratulate its match officials who have been appointed by World Rugby for a series of international fixtures across the Nations Championship, Nations Cup and Men's International matches during the November 2026 window. The appointments are a reflection of the continued strength and depth of Irish officiating on the international stage and recognise the outstanding performances delivered by our referees and match officials throughout recent seasons.

A strong Irish contingent will be involved across some of the biggest international fixtures of the month, with Irish officials selected as referees, assistant referees, Television Match Officials (TMOs) and Foul Play Review Officials (FPROs) across competitions spanning Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas.

Among the headline appointments, Andrew Brace has been selected to referee the Nations Championship clash between Scotland and New Zealand at Murrayfield on 7 November and will also take charge of Italy versus Fiji in Udine on 21 November.

Fellow Irish referee Eoghan Cross has earned two significant appointments, taking charge of Italy v South Africa in Turin on 7 November before refereeing Portugal v Samoa in the Nations Cup on 14 November.

Irish officials have also been entrusted with a number of key officiating support roles throughout the international window. Olly Hodges has been appointed as TMO for Scotland v New Zealand, Italy v Argentina and FPRO for the clash between England v New Zealand. Leo Colgan will operate as FPRO for France v Fiji, Wales v New Zealand while also taking on TMO duties for Italy v Fiji.

Irish officials will also feature prominently in the Nations Cup. Eoghan Cross has been appointed to referee Portugal v Samoa, while Peter Martin and Robbie Jenkinson will work together as Assistant Referees on Portugal v Samoa and Georgia v USA. Both Martin and Jenkinson will also serve as Assistant Referees for Spain v Uruguay. Their selection across multiple fixtures reflects the continued confidence placed in Irish match officials at international level.

These appointments across a wide range of elite international fixtures highlight the ongoing development of the IRFU High Performance Referee Programme and the growing influence of Irish match officials on the world game. The opportunity to officiate in high-profile international matches is testament to the dedication, professionalism and excellence demonstrated by Ireland's refereeing team.

The IRFU extends its congratulations to all those selected and wishes them every success during the November international series.
