Ireland Boy's U18

29th October 2026

The Ireland U18 Clubs side has been named for Saturday's international fixture against Italy U18 at Rugby Badia in Rovigo, with Head Coach Andy Wood's squad looking forward to the opportunity to test themselves on the international stage.

Naas RFC and Leinster Rugby second row Aidan Tamming will captain the team for the encounter, which kicks off at 2.00pm local time on Saturday, 31 October.

The fixture marks the culmination of a productive preparation period for the squad, with players representing clubs, schools and provinces from across the island, alongside IQ Rugby representatives, coming together to form a distinctive Ireland U18 Clubs group.

Speaking ahead of the match, Head Coach Andy Wood said: "The entire squad and management team are looking forward to this international fixture away to Italy. It's been a great couple of weeks building towards this opportunity, and everyone involved is excited for the challenge ahead.

"This group has worked extremely hard to develop its own identity, and we look forward to seeing them put in a performance that represents their clubs, schools, families and each other with pride as they wear the green jersey."
