Ireland and hosts Australia played out a pulsating Nations Championship opener in Sydney, with the result in doubt right until the final kick of the game.
A new addition to the international rugby calendar this summer, the Nations Championship consists of two groups of teams competing in a Northern versus Southern Hemisphere tournament format across six rounds, with three fixtures in July and again in November.
It all culminates in the finals weekend in London at the end of November, and Ireland began their campaign Down Under with a juicy rematch with Joe Schmidt's Wallabies.
