Academy Manager, Gavin Hogg, has named the match day squad to face Munster ‘A’ in Round 3 of the IRFU ‘A’ Interprovincial Championship tomorrow afternoon at Nenagh Ormond RFC. (KO: 3pm)
Ethan McIlroy captains the squad that features 10 senior players and 10 Academy talents.
The fixture will be streamed live via Access Munster
Supporters will have to sign up as a member at €4 to watch the fixture. Entry to the match at New Ormond Park is €10.
In the front row, senior men’s prop, Callum Reid, starts at loosehead, with senior hooker, James McCormick, and Academy tighthead prop, Flynn Longstaff.
In the second row, Development lock, Joe Hopes, starts alongside first year Academy forward Paddy Woods .
In the back row, Academy forwards James McKillop and Tom Brigg start at blindside and openside flanker respectively, with senior forward Lorcan McLoughlin, starting at number eight.
Two senior players start in the half back positions with Conor McKee starting at scrum-half and Jake Flannery starting at fly-half.
In the midfield, senior centre Ben Carson starts at inside centre and Academy back Wilhelm De Klerk starts at outside centre.
In the back three, Ben Moxham starts on the left wing, Academy back Jonathan Scott starts on the right wing. Ethan McIlroy completes the starting XV at full-back and captains the side.
The bench features four Academy players, one senior player and four pathway talents.
Jacob Boyd, Henry Walker, Tom McAllister, Ben Moore, Noah Bell and Jon Rodgers are the forward replacements.
Clark Logan, James Humphreys and Owen O’Kane are the backline cover options.
Owen O’Kane, Ben Moore and Jon Rodgers are National Talent Squad players and Noah Bell is a Provincial Talent Squad player.
