The Ireland squad reassembled today at Dublin Airport before departing for a warm weather training camp in Portugal.

Joey Carbery, who was taken off during the 29-10 win over Italy, will rehab his ankle injury with the national squad and is expected to be available for selection in four to six weeks.

Devin Toner’s ankle knock has not presented any further issues, while fellow forward Rob Herring who retired from the Italy game early due to a back spasm has also fully recovered.

Finlay Bealham, John Cooney and Mike Haley have returned to their provincial bases.

Ireland’s next fixture is against England at Twickenham on Saturday, August 24. Check out the Irish Rugby website and social media channels for interviews, videos and team news from the Portugal camp. The Ireland team to play England will be announced on Thursday week (August 22).
