A number of international newcomers – including the uncapped Luke Marshall, Craig Gilroy, Paddy Jackson and Paul Marshall – will be eager to impress as Ireland look to post their first win of the 2012/13 season.

Seven days after a narrow defeat to South Africa, number 8 Jamie Heaslip leads an Ireland XV that features a combination of experienced internationals and emerging talent.

It will be a proud day for newly-capped prop David Kilcoyne from Limerick as he makes his first Ireland start at his home ground of Thomond Park.

Another of Ireland’s latest Test players, the 20-year-old Iain Henderson, joins Heaslip and John Muldoon in a new-look back row.

With the GUINNESS Series finale to follow against Argentina next week, a strong showing in Limerick could help some of the squad force their way into the team to face the Pumas.

* There will be a minute’s silence before kick-off as a mark of respect to former Fiji and Toulouse winger Maleli Kunavore, who sadly died in Suva Private Hospital on Thursday at the age of just 29.

Fiji Rugby Union development manager Sale Sorovaki said: “It is so sad to lose a fellow rugby player and at such a young age. Kunavore was a very gifted and talented player and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family. May he rest in peace.”

We will have live text commentary direct from the stadium, so plug in your laptop or turn on the PC and enjoy a flavour of the game live on IrishRugby.ie.

There will be full live text and score updates throughout the coverage, with proceedings getting underway at 5.30pm.

You can watch live TV coverage of the match on RTÉ Two and BBC Two. Michael Corcoran will also be providing live commentary of the game on RTÉ Radio 1 (DAB, LW 252 and RTÉ.ie), with their coverage beginning shortly before kick-off.
