Referee Appointments For European Semi-Finals

England’s Dave Pearson and Nigel Owens from Wales have been appointed as the referees for the upcoming Heineken Cup semi-finals over the opening weekend in May.

ERC, the tournament organisers of the Heineken Cup and Amlin Challenge Cup, have announced the match officials for the semi-finals of both competitions.

Welshman Nigel Owens will take charge of the Toulouse v Leinster tie at Le Stadium on Saturday, May 1, with England’s Dave Pearson controlling the Biarritz Olympique v Munster clash at Estadio Anoeta on Sunday, May 2.

Wayne Barnes from England will referee the Amlin Challenge Cup semi-final between Connacht and Toulon at the Sportsground on Friday, April 30, with France’s Romain Poite in charge of the match between London Wasps and the Cardiff Blues at Adams Park on Saturday, May 1.
