Ferris Signs New Ulster Contract

Ulster Rugby have confirmed that young back rower Stephen Ferris has signed a new two-year contract with the province, which will keep him at Ravenhill until at least the end of the 2008/09 season.

A former pupil of Friends School Lisburn and a member of the Dungannon club, Ferris made his Ulster debut against the Borders in 2005 and has been a regular in the team ever since.

The 21-year-old was drafted into the Ireland squad for the first time during November’s Guinness Autumn Series, and he won his first full international cap against the Pacific Islanders – what was the last international to be played at the ‘old’ Lansdowne Road.
