Ireland Women’s Sevens Squad Continue Preparations For Olympic Debut

The Ireland Women’s Sevens squad are now less than a week away from making their much-anticipated Olympic Games debut against Great Britain at the Stade de France.

The Ireland Women open their Paris 2024 campaign against their nearest neighbours next Sunday (kick-off 2.30pm Irish time), before a 6pm clash with South Africa to complete the first day’s action.

The following day (Monday, July 29) will see the pool placings decided, with Ireland playing Australia in their final Pool B match (kick-off 1.30pm).

Coached by Allan Temple-Jones and captained by Lucy Rock, the Women’s team trained at the Stade de la Chambrerie complex yesterday, with last week’s camp schedule in Tours also including a training game against the USA.
