For the first time since IMART’s inception, this year’s World Cup features a women’s competition. The honour of representing Ireland falls to the Ballincollig Trailblazers. Their Women’s Competition opener against El Salvador on Day 1 advertised everything that is brilliant about mixed ability rugby – there was skill, courage and teamwork aplenty and every player was given the chance to show what they’ve learned since the Trailblazers were first formed in 2019.
