Ulster’s Caldwell Receives Three-Week Ban

Ulster will be without the services of Ryan Caldwell until October 26 after the Ireland ‘A’ lock was handed a three-ban at an IRFU disciplinary hearing.

Today’s hearing in Dublin was called after Caldwell was red carded late on in Ulster’s 24-10 Magners League defeat to Edinburgh at Murrayfield last Friday night.

The 23-year-old was dismissed by match referee James Jones for an off-the-ball stamping incident at a ruck. His punishment means he will miss Ulster’s clash with the Dragons at Rodney Parade this Saturday, as well as the province’s trip to Llanelli on Friday week.

He will be back available for selection for Ulster’s all-ticket Magners League derby against Leinster at Ravenhill on Friday, October 26.

Tickets for the game against Leinster are selling fast, with the main stand at the Belfast ground already sold out. Tickets for all other areas of the grounds are still available and can be purchased online by clicking here.
