Leinster’s representatives on Ireland’s recent summer tour to New Zealand and Australia – Brian O’Driscoll, Gordon D’Arcy, Denis Hickie, Keith Gleeson, Girvan Dempsey and Shane Horgan.

The Leinster players who played for the Ireland ‘A’ team during June’s Churchill Cup in the USA and Canada – Ronan McCormack, Kieran Lewis, Rob Kearney, Brian Blaney, Jamie Heaslip and Trevor Hogan.

Former Australian flanker Owen Finegan, a World Cup winner with the Wallabies in 1999, is one of Leinster’s new signings along with…

…young South African front rower Harry Vermaas

…former Munster back row Stephen Keogh

…former Munster lock Trevor Hogan

…and Australian scrum half Chris Whitaker, who joined the province from NSW Waratahs.

The 18-year-old full-back/centre Luke Fitzgerald, who helped Blackrock College win the Leinster Schools Senior Cup last March, has also been listed in Leinster’s senior squad despite not having even played a game for his club Blackrock College RFC yet.

Fitzgerald is on a development contract, along with other several senior squad members: props Johnny Wickham (23) and Rob Sweeney (22), locks Devin Toner (20) and Richie Leyden (22), flanker Kevin McLaughlin (21), scrum half Cillian Willis (21), out-half Jonathan Sexton (21) and full-back Ross McCarron (21).
