Ahead of his side’s opening game of the HSBC World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series in Dubai on Thursday, we caught up with Ireland Women’s Sevens Head Coach Stan McDowell.

Ireland have been in Dubai since Sunday and yesterday held their Captain’s Run at The Sevens Stadium ahead of today’s Pool B clash against European rivals Spain (2.50pm local time, 10.50am Irish time).
