Irish Rugby TV: Richie Murphy – Squad Update

Ireland skills & kicking coach Richie Murphy was on media duty today with an update on the squad ahead of the Guinness Six Nations game against Italy in Rome on Sunday afternoon.

Looking ahead to the Italian match, he said:

I think Italian rugby is going in the right direction, you see their underage system doing well at Under-18 and Under-20 and their club teams now starting to compete a lot better in the PRO14. They’ll feel confident they can fill the void (left by the absence of Sergio Parisse). We’ll just have to deal with the team that turns on on the day.”
