Irish Rugby TV: ‘It’s An Important Game And An Important Year’ – Farrell

Talking to the media today at the team base in Maynooth, Ireland defence coach Andy Farrell spoke about why New Zealand are the best in the world and why Ireland want to play them to test themselves.

Commenting on the opposition in Ireland’s second GUINNESS Series game, Andy Farrell said: “New Zealand are the best team in the world for a reason. We want to play against them as much as we can because we want to test ourselves and keep improving.

“If we could play them every week it would be good for our development. There is no ‘secret’ to beating them. They are masters at sticking to the plan when things go wrong. We’ve got to learn from that and get back on point when things go against us.”
