IRFU Leadership Development Programme In Action

The IRFU’s Leadership Development Programme is up and running for 2019/20. The 20 volunteers have just completed their second module on the course and took time to share with Irish Rugby TV some of their learnings to date.

The aim of the programme is to support the development of the next generation of leaders who can reinforce the culture of volunteering and assist clubs in developing a ‘best-practice’ inclusive approach to build clubs of the future in their communities.

The following are the clubs and branches represented this season: Banbridge, Bangor, Belfast Harlequins, Blackrock College, Galway Corinthians, Leinster Branch, London Irish, Killarney, Kilrush, MU Barnhall, Naas, Nenagh Ormond, New Ross, Newry, Railway Union, Suttonians, Virginia, Westport.

The Leadership Development Programme is a ‘Spirit Of Rugby’ initiative and focuses on Self Learning, Authentic Leadership Under Pressure, Leading Teams and Leading Change. You can learn more in the above video.
