In Focus: Erskine Benefits From Celtic Cup Refereeing

IRFU referee Jonny Erskine has benefited from his experiences in the Celtic Cup, taking charge of five games across the seven-week competition, including the Leinster ‘A’ v Munster ‘A’ Conference decider at Energia Park and the overall final between Leinster ‘A’ and Scarlets ‘A’ in Llanelli.

Back refereeing in the All-Ireland League, Jonny Erskine was the man in the middle for the Division 1A top of the table clash between Clontarf and Cork Constitution at Castle Avenue on Saturday afternoon.

The Banbridge clubman spoke to Irish Rugby TV ahead of the match about the experience he gained in the Celtic Cup and how the All-Ireland League continues to help him develop as a referee with top class games week in, week out.
