Energia All-Ireland League Check-In: Lansdowne

It’s been a season of transition for Lansdowne. All teams evolve from year to year, but senior club stalwarts have hung up their boots on Lansdowne Road and there’s also been a change to the coaching team for their Division 1A side.

Mike Ruddock took a step back from coaching duties in December to answer the call from Ospreys in his native Wales. That afforded Mark McHugh the chance to take the helm and it coincided with a change in fortunes for the club.

“With big change, comes big opportunity” as Mark told Irish Rugby TV in the below video.

The club are now on a charge back up the table in Division 1A of the Energia All-Ireland League. 2020 also started out with a semi-final win in the Bateman Cup.

You can hear more about Lansdowne’s 2019/2020 season to date in this latest Energia All-Ireland League Check-in.
