Job Done As Ireland Men Claim Sevens World Cup Spot

The Ireland Men’s Sevens team, sponsored by TritonLake, got the better of Georgia in a keenly-fought play-off in Bucharest to qualify for September’s Rugby World Cup Sevens.

Bryan Mollen, set up by Terry Kennedy, ran in the decisive try in a 17-12 victory, as Ireland joined Wales, Germany and Portugal in booking their tickets to Cape Town.

James Topping’s men return to the pitch on August 27-28 when the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series concludes in Los Angeles, two weeks before the World Cup kicks off in South Africa.
