The Ireland squad stepped up their preparation for the opening game of the Vodafone Summer Series against Japan on Saturday with a training session in the summer sun at the IRFU High Performance Centre.

The team to play Japan will be announced on Thursday and the game kicks off at 1pm with live coverage on RTÉ and Channel 4
