Ireland Men Finish Third In Canada Sevens Pool

The Ireland Men’s Sevens team, sponsored by TritonLake, lost out to France and Argentina in the pool stages of the HSBC Canada Sevens in Vancouver.

Terry Kennedy scored in each game on BC Place’s all-weather pitch, while Jordan Conroy also weighed in with three tries. Andrew Smith and captain Billy Dardis crossed the whitewash too.

James Topping’s side will regroup for a 9th place quarter-final against Kenya tomorrow (kick-off 9.44am local time/5.44pm Irish time). The winners will play either Wales or Spain.
