Three-Try Clovers Open Win Account At Energia Park

Sadhbh McGrath marked her captaincy debut for the Clovers with a try, while Ailsa Hughes and Ruth Campbell also touched down as Denis Fogarty’s young side claimed a 20-5 victory over Brython Thunder from Wales.

Bouncing back from losing the Celtic Challenge opener in Cork, the Clovers pulled clear in the second half at Energia Park to register their first win of the competition. They have moved up one place to third in the table.

Fogarty’s charges return to Musgrave Park next Sunday to face table toppers Gwalia Lightning, who have beaten Brython Thunder (20-5) and Glasgow Warriors (36-19) so far. Tickets are available to buy here. The match, which kicks off at 1pm, is also live on RugbyPass TV.
