Players & Coaches Reflect On Underage Female Sevens Interpro Series

Former Ireland Women’s 15s and Sevens international, Ashleigh Orchard, took on a coaching role with the Ulster Under-16 squad for the recent IRFU Under-16 & Under-18 Female Sevens Interprovincial Series.

The Interprovincial Series, supported by PwC, was hosted at the IRFU’s High Performance Centre on the Sport Ireland Campus in Dublin.

Connacht Rugby Women’s Provincial Talent Officer Ross Mannion explains how the tournament format challenged the players’ preparation, mindset and skills and how that would transfer into their 15s rugby:
