Postponement Of Dragons v Connacht Is Confirmed

PRO14 Rugby have announced that due to a number of Covid-19 cases within the Dragons camp, Saturday evening’s fixture between Connacht and the Dragons has been postponed.

This decision was made after the WRU and Dragons Rugby, in conjunction with Public Health Wales and the PRO14 Medical Advisory Group, decided to close the region for a fortnight.

As a result, Saturday’s game at Rodney Parade will now not take place as planned and PRO14 Rugby will examine potential dates in early 2021 to reschedule the game.

A statement from Connacht Rugby read: “Everyone at Connacht Rugby wishes the Dragons well and we look forward to meeting them later in the season.

“All Connacht professional squad players and staff tested negative this week and will now begin preparations for Saturday week’s Guinness PRO14 clash with the Scarlets at the Sportsground.”
