Clubs Invited To Sustaining Irish Rugby Forum

A new event for club rugby is coming to the Aviva Stadium on Sunday, November 24.

The Sustaining Irish Rugby Forum will bring current and future club leaders together with experts in sports administration and thought-leaders, to share best practice, and to identify and discuss strategies that can address the sustainability of club rugby in the coming years.

The forum is about identifying trends in wider-society and learning how clubs are dealing with the challenges and opportunities we all face – or are likely to face – in the coming years.

Colin McEntee is Irish Rugby Director of Rugby Development. He told Irish Rugby TV in the above video:

We’re sending out invites to clubs to send one or two participants to attend the event who are willing to think a little bit differently. A little bit more strategically about the club and about our game.

“How do our clubs meet societal changes of today, embrace our communities more, squeeze the assets that the clubs have and really start connecting to our communities?”

Interested club members are asked to contact their club’s Honorary Secretary about attending the event.
