Civic Pride For Rugby With Limerick Clean-Up

Rugby clubs in Limerick city and county showed their community spirit on Good Friday as part of Team Limerick Clean-Up.

The event is spear headed by former Munster, Ireland and Lions captain Paul O’Connell and encourages people to show their community spirit by working to make the most of their environment.

Richmond, Old Crescent, Shannon and Young Munster were just some of the clubs who were out in force to make their grounds and surrounds spotless on the day.

Old Crescent’s grounds in Rosbrien have changed much in recent years. With their expansion came an extra responsibility to make sure of a welcoming atmosphere for new and prospective members.

“We have a space that we are continually trying to develop,” said Old Crescent Senior Vice President Charlie O’Neill, who takes up the role of President for the 2019/20 season. “It’s about giving the whole club room to breathe. We are about to start a 10-year development plan and it’s all about our members.”
