Eliza Downey of Cooke is the March winner of the #AILWomensTry of the Month award in the Women’s All-Ireland League.

In the final round of the league at Shaw’s Bridge, there was some neat interplay within the Cooke half before former Ireland international Eliza Downey showed brilliant pace and footwork to take off and avoid the chasing St. Mary’s defenders to touch down close to the posts.

The try was chosen from a selection of four great efforts which were shortlisted for the #AILWomensTry of the Month for March, with scores included from last month’s Women’s All-Ireland Plate final and the closing round of the league phases.
