IRFU Appoint Aileen Bailey As HR Director

The Irish Rugby Football Union has appointed Aileen Bailey to the position of Human Resources Director.

Aileen Bailey joined the IRFU in September 2014 as HR Manager having previously worked at UPC, the Football Association of Ireland and AIB. 

 In 2015 she was promoted to Head of HR and she now becomes HR Director with responsibility for leading and implementing the IRFU’s employee strategies and support services. 

Aileen has a Bachelor degree in Business Studies from DCU, specialising in Human Resource Management, and she has completed diplomas in Employment Law and Executive and Personal Coaching.

IRFU Chief Executive Philip Browne commented: “We are pleased to announce the promotion of Aileen to the position of HR Director. She has worked extensively to ensure that the IRFU is a quality place to work and has developed a number of powerful initiatives since joining the team designed to ensure the IRFU’s HR structures are best in class both for our professional players and our administrative staff.

“I know I speak on behalf of all our staff and our committee as I thank Aileen for her commitment to the Irish Rugby.”
